High-Level Round Table

A high-level working round table discussion took place at the Spanish Office for Science & Technology (SOST) in Brussels on 22nd April 2016 . We exchanged expertise, good practices, mitigation and adaptation strategies regarding Heat Waves that are expected to become more frequent and intense the following years due to Climate Change. In addition, the procedures needed to be established so that information from the heat wave risk nowcasting system that we have developed in TREASURE is useful for the citizens and the relevant Authorities were discussed.

We were honoured by the presence of distinguished participants and we are grateful for their valuable feedback and warm comments. The experts met and interacted with the TREASURE partners and advised the consortium so that TREASURE’s impact is maximised.
